The base is a strand of round 8mm black stone beads. Lava has a rough, porous surface you can feel under the finger; matte black is smooth with no shine; glossy black is polished and catches the light. Whichever you choose, the strand stays dark from end to end, apart from one accent bead.
That accent bead is either lapis, a deep blue stone, or grey stone for a quieter contrast. Two brown spacer discs frame it and mark the center of the bracelet.
