The piece

The chain is stainless steel, built from uniform square box links that sit tight against each other for a continuous, flexible line. The finish is applied by electroplating, in a gold-tone or silver-tone color. Stainless steel is a hard-wearing metal that resists rust and corrosion, which is why it suits daily wear.
