You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in millimetres.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in millimetres: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm long: count how many fit along your strip.

Half sizes sit halfway between two rows (about 0.4 mm of diameter).
Good to know: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger. Wide bands (8 mm and more) feel tighter: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one.
A flat signet top on a wide steel band, and nothing else.
Atlas bore the load and kept his footing. A signet ring suits the same kind of man: steady, and not in need of noise. This one is 316L stainless steel, with a flat, rounded-square top on a solid, wide band. Choose a mirror-polished finish or a brushed one, in silver, gold-tone, black or blue, in US sizes 8 to 12. It is plain on purpose: a clean face, made to be worn every day.
- Does not rust or turn your finger green
- Mirror polished or brushed
- Four colors, US 8 to 12
Details & specs
The ring is 316L stainless steel, shaped as a classic signet: a flat top with rounded square corners, rising from a solid, wide band. Nothing is engraved or set into the face, so the shape and the finish carry the whole look. Stainless steel does not rust, so the ring stays on through the washing up, the gym and the weekend.
Two finishes: polished to a mirror shine, or brushed for a soft, matte surface. On the hand, the polished version catches the light, while the brushed one stays low-key. Silver is the steel's own color. Gold-tone, black and blue are plated finishes over the steel, and we say so plainly. Every color and finish shares the same shape and band.
How to wear it
The signet traditionally goes on the little finger, but it looks just as right on the ring finger or the index finger of either hand. Brushed silver is the most discreet and works with a suit. Black and blue are bolder and suit casual clothes and a dark watch. Polished gold-tone pairs with a gold-tone chain. Keep the rest of the hand bare, or add one plain band.
Choosing your size
Sizes run US 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. The band is wide, and a wide band feels snugger than a thin one, so if he is between two sizes, take the larger. The surest method is to measure a ring he already wears on the same finger, or to have his finger sized. For the little finger, expect to go smaller than for the ring finger.

Questions
Can I keep the 316L signet ring on for the washing up and the gym?
Yes. 316L stainless steel does not rust. On the polished version, dry it with a cloth afterward to keep the mirror shine on the flat top.
Will the black, blue or gold-tone color last?
These are plated finishes over the steel, made for everyday wear. The top and the palm side take the most contact, so keep the ring away from harsh cleaning products and rough work to keep the color even. Silver has no coating to wear.
Brushed or polished?
Polished is mirror-bright and dressier. Brushed has a soft, matte look and hides small scuffs from daily use better. If the ring is for someone who works with his hands, brushed is the practical choice.
Is the face blank?
Yes. Nothing is engraved or set into the flat, rounded-square top, so the shape and the finish carry the whole look. A plain face like this is also what jewelers usually engrave initials on, if he wants it personalized later.
What shape is the top?
A flat rounded square: square in outline with soft corners, rising from a solid, wide band.
Does it come small enough for a pinky?
Sizes start at US 8. The little finger usually takes a smaller size than the ring finger, so if his pinky is under an 8, he can wear it on the ring or index finger instead.
Is a signet ring old-fashioned?
Not in this form. Signets began as seal rings centuries ago, but this one has a blank, flat face and comes in black or blue as well as silver and gold-tone, which reads modern.
What if I pick the wrong color?
We do not exchange, but you can return it unworn in its original packaging within 30 days and order the color you want. Return shipping is at your cost.
