Braided Leather Bracelet with Steel Clasp

The piece

The band is made of genuine leather, two-layer cowhide, braided into two parallel strands. That braid gives it a soft, worn-in feel from the first day and a surface that catches light in small breaks rather than one flat sheen. The full piece weighs about 12g, so it stays light through a long day.

At the center, a polished shackle link joins the two strands, held by metal collars on either side. A metal clasp closes the bracelet at the top of the wrist. Hardware is finished in a silver tone that reads cool against black leather.

How to wear it

With a white tee and jeans it does the whole job on its own. Under an open collar or a rolled shirt sleeve it adds texture without competing with a watch, so stack it on the opposite wrist or beside a steel case. Good for work, travel, dinner and weekends; leave it off for black tie.

Choosing your size

Two lengths are offered: 7.5 inches (19 cm) and 8.5 inches (21 cm). Wrap a strip of paper around your wrist, mark it and measure flat, then add about half an inch for a comfortable fit that slides slightly but does not spin. If your wrist measures around 6.5 to 7 inches, take the 7.5 inch; from about 7.5 inches up, take the 8.5 inch.

No. Leather does not like long soaks, so take it off before showering, swimming or the gym sauna.
