Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
- Take a string or a shoelace and mark on it the length you are considering, for example 56 cm.
- Hold the two marks together at the back of your neck, wearing the kind of top you usually wear.
- Look in a mirror: the lowest point of the string is where the chain will sit.
- Too high or too low? Try 5 cm more or less: that is one size up or down.
Already own a chain you like? Lay it flat, clasp closed, and measure it end to end. A broad neck or chest makes every length sit a little higher.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm long: count how many fit along your strip.

A round Templar medallion with real weight in the hand.
Atlas took the weight without a word. This medallion borrows an emblem from the Knights Templar and gives it the same steady presence. The round stainless steel pendant carries a cross pattée at its center, flanked by swords and a smaller cross, with a Latin motto around the border. It hangs from a 24 in (61 cm) chain, centered on the chest. Pick gold-tone or silver, plain or set with CZ stones.
- Keep it on: shower, gym, beach
- Plain or set with CZ stones
- 24 in (61 cm) chain included
Details & specs
Pendant and chain are stainless steel, chosen for its resilience and its satisfying weight. It does not rust, so water and sweat are not a concern. The gold-tone version is finished with vacuum plating, a color layer over the steel made to resist wear; the silver version shows the steel itself. Either way, the medallion feels solid in the hand.
The face is in relief. A cross pattée sits at the center, flanked by swords and a smaller cross, and a Latin motto runs around the border. On the stone version, small CZ stones are inset for a brighter look; the plain version keeps the relief clean. Both catch the light along the raised edges and keep the recesses darker.
How to wear it
The 24 in length is made for wearing over a crewneck tee or a sweater, where the round medallion has room. For a lower-key look, let it sit under an open collar. This piece holds its own, so wear it alone rather than stacked with other chains, and keep the rest to a watch and maybe one ring in the same tone.
Choosing your size
The chain comes in one length, 24 in (61 cm), which puts the medallion in the middle of the chest on most men. The real choices are finish and style: gold-tone or silver, then plain or with CZ stones, four combinations in all. If you are unsure, silver without stones is the most versatile, and the stones suit a man who likes a little shine.

Questions
Can the Knights Templar medallion stay on through a swim?
Yes. Stainless steel does not rust, so a shower, training or the sea will not hurt it. Wipe it dry so the raised cross, swords and Latin border stay sharp.
What is the difference between the four versions?
Two finishes, gold-tone or silver, and two styles, plain or with inset CZ stones. The medallion, the design and the 24 in chain are the same on all four.
Which Templar medallion version is the safest gift?
Silver without stones, the most versatile of the four. The CZ stone version suits a man who likes a little shine, and every version arrives individually packed.
Who were the Knights Templar?
A medieval military order founded in the early 12th century to protect Christian pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem. Their cross became one of the most recognized emblems of the Crusades.
What is a cross pattée?
It is a cross whose arms are narrow at the center and flare out toward the ends. It is the emblem at the center of this medallion, flanked by swords and a smaller cross.
What is vacuum plating?
It is the process used for the gold-tone version: a color layer applied over the steel in a vacuum, made to resist wear. The silver version shows the steel itself.
What are the stones on the stone version?
Small CZ (cubic zirconia) stones, inset into the relief for a brighter look. The plain version keeps the relief clean.
Can I stack it with other chains?
It holds its own, so it looks right worn alone. Keep the rest to a watch and maybe one ring in the same tone.
