Atlas held the sky and kept things simple. This necklace does the same. A 3mm braided waxed cord in black lies flat on the skin and disappears into an open collar until you want it seen. The cord is braided waxed rope in black, 3mm wide, with a smooth surface and a soft, flexible drape. It has enough body to hold its shape around the neck without feeling stiff, and it stays quiet against the skin. It is a cord, not a metal chain, so treat it like good leather and keep it dry.
The ends are finished into a compact clasp in polished stainless steel, a metal that does not rust. The contrast is the design: matte black cord, one bright point of steel at the nape.
