Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
- Take a string or a shoelace and mark on it the length you are considering, for example 56 cm (22").
- Hold the two marks together at the back of your neck, wearing the kind of top you usually wear.
- Look in a mirror: the lowest point of the string is where the chain will sit.
- Too high or too low? Try 5 cm (2") more or less: that is one size up or down.
Already own a chain you like? Lay it flat, clasp closed, and measure it end to end. A broad neck or chest makes every length sit a little higher.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm (3.4") long: count how many fit along your strip.

An ancient shape with a clean, modern edge.
Atlas carried the world. You carry your day: the commute, the workload, the people waiting on you at home. The Ankh keeps you company through all of it. The pendant and its fine 2.4mm O-ring chain are both titanium steel, and the cross sits just below the collarbone, smooth and rounded, with flared arms and an open loop on top. Pick black, gold-tone or natural silver steel, then leave it on.
- Shower, gym, beach: keep it on
- Slim 2.4mm chain, 20 in (50cm)
- Black, silver or gold-tone
Details & specs
Pendant and chain are both titanium steel, a strong metal that does not rust, so the necklace can stay on through sweat, showers and a full week of long days. The cross is smooth and rounded, with flared arms and an open loop at the top that gives this old shape its balance.
The polished surface catches light along the edges and bevels, bright without being loud. A simple bail holds it on a 2.4mm O-ring cable chain that measures 20 in (50cm). The black and gold-tone colors are plated finishes; the silver is the natural color of the steel. The design is unisex.
How to wear it
Over a plain white or black tee it lands in the middle of the chest and needs nothing else. Under an open collar or a light knit, only the top of the loop shows, which suits the office, a dinner or a date. Match the finish to your watch and rings, or choose natural steel and let it go with everything you own.
Choosing your size
There is one length: 20 in (50cm). On most men it falls a few inches below the collarbone, so the pendant rests on the upper chest, around the second shirt button. If he likes a necklace close at the base of the neck, this one sits lower than that. To layer, add a shorter plain chain above it and keep the Ankh as the low point.
Why this piece
A symbol with history
The Ankh is an ancient Egyptian sign of life. It gives the piece something to say without a logo or a slogan.
Steel that stays on
Titanium steel does not rust and does not turn your skin green, so the shower, the gym and the beach are all fine.

Questions
Can the titanium steel Ankh necklace stay on all week, showers included?
Yes. Titanium steel does not rust, so sweat, showers and long days are fine. Dry it now and then to keep the polished edges of the cross bright.
Which Ankh finish should I choose: black, silver or gold-tone?
Match it to your watch and rings, or take the silver, the natural steel, which goes with everything. Black and gold-tone are plated finishes over the titanium steel.
Is the 2.4mm chain too thin for a man?
It is fine on purpose, so the Ankh stays the focus. If he likes a heavier look, wear it next to a thicker chain.
Is the ankh a Christian cross?
No. The ankh is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph meaning life, recognized by the loop at the top; Coptic Christians in Egypt later adopted it as a form of the cross.
Is the ankh necklace unisex?
Yes. The design is unisex, and the fine chain keeps it light on any frame.
What is an O-ring cable chain?
A chain of small round links joined one into the next. At 2.4mm wide, it stays slim so the ankh is the focus.
Where does the pendant land on a shirt?
Around the second shirt button on most men, a few inches below the collarbone, on the 20 in (50cm) chain.
Can I wear it on a date?
Yes. Under an open collar or a light knit, only the top of the loop shows, which suits a date, a dinner or the office.
