The chain is made from titanium steel, a hard material that does not rust and holds its shape through daily use. Each link interlocks into a rounded, braided rope pattern, which gives the chain weight in the hand and a continuous, flexible drape on the neck. Showers and salt water are no reason to take it off.
The silver option keeps the natural bright steel color; the gold option is a warm gold-tone plated finish. Both are polished, so the weave shows as alternating light and shadow along its length. A lobster clasp closes it securely and opens with one hand. Widths run 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 7mm.
How to wear it
With a white tee and a watch it does most of the work on its own. Under an open-collar shirt, a 20" or 22" lets a few links show without competing with the collar. For layering, pair a shorter 18" in 3mm or 4mm with a longer 24" in a heavier width, both in the same tone.
Choosing your size
Lengths run 16" (41 cm), 18", 20", 22", 24", 28" and 31" (80 cm). On most men 20" (50 cm) sits just below the collarbone, 22" (55 cm) at the top of the chest, and 24" (60 cm) mid-chest, good over a tee. For width, 3mm and 4mm are understated, 5mm balanced, 6mm and 7mm a clear statement. If he is broad, add one length.

Will salt water dull the gold-tone titanium steel wheat chain?
No, as long as you rinse it. Titanium steel does not rust, so showers, sweat and the sea are fine; rinse the gold-tone in fresh water after a swim to keep the plated color even.
