Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
- Take a string or a shoelace and mark on it the length you are considering, for example 56 cm (22").
- Hold the two marks together at the back of your neck, wearing the kind of top you usually wear.
- Look in a mirror: the lowest point of the string is where the chain will sit.
- Too high or too low? Try 5 cm (2") more or less: that is one size up or down.
Already own a chain you like? Lay it flat, clasp closed, and measure it end to end. A broad neck or chest makes every length sit a little higher.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm (3.4") long: count how many fit along your strip.

Flat curb links that lie smooth and stay put.
Atlas bore the heavens without once looking for a way out. You know that kind of steadiness, and so does this curb chain. Its flattened links interlock and lie smooth against the skin, catching light in short, clean flashes as you move. Wear it at the base of the neck over a white tee, or under an open collar. Five widths from 3 to 9mm, in silver, gold-tone or black.
- Steel that stays on, wet or dry
- Five widths, 3 to 9mm
- Silver, gold-tone or black
Details & specs
The chain is made from stainless steel, a metal that holds its shape and does not rust through daily wear. The links are curb style: flattened and interlocked so the chain lies flat instead of rolling on the neck. Showers, sweat and salt water are fine, so it can stay on from the gym to the beach.
Each chain is electroplated in one of three finishes, silver, gold-tone or black, applied evenly across every width. We say plated because it is. Widths run 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm and 9mm, and lengths run 18, 20, 24 and 28 inches, from a fine layering chain to a heavy one.
How to wear it
With a plain white tee, an 18" or 20" sits high and reads clean and intentional. Under an open collar shirt or a crewneck sweater, a 5mm or 6mm gives a visible line without taking over. For a bolder look, pair a 7mm or 9mm with a black tee and a steel watch, or layer two widths at different lengths.
Choosing your size
Length first: 18" (45cm) sits close to the base of the neck, 20" (50cm) just below the collarbone, 24" (60cm) mid-chest, and 28" (70cm) low, good over a tee. For width, 3mm is subtle and good for layering, 5mm and 6mm are the everyday middle, and 7mm or 9mm make the chain the main piece. Between two choices, start with 20" in 5mm.

Questions
Can the electroplated curb chain stay on from the gym to the beach?
Yes. The stainless steel does not rust, so showers, sweat and salt water are fine. Rinse it in fresh water after the pool or the sea to keep the plated finish even.
Which curb width and length should I start with if I am unsure?
20" in 5mm. The 5mm and 6mm are the everyday middle, 3mm is subtle, and 7mm or 9mm make the curb the main piece.
How does the 5mm or 6mm curb chain look under a crewneck sweater?
It gives a visible line without taking over, under a crewneck sweater or an open collar shirt. With a plain white tee, an 18" or 20" sits high and reads clean.
Is even the silver curb chain plated?
Yes. Silver, gold-tone and black are all electroplated finishes over the stainless steel, applied evenly across every width.
Which width works for layering?
3mm. It is the subtle width, made to sit above or below a wider chain at a different length.
Is 9mm too much?
9mm makes the chain the main piece. Pair it with a black tee and a steel watch, and wear nothing else at the neck.
Does it roll on the neck?
No. The curb links are flattened and interlocked, so the chain lies flat.
Can the curb chain take a pendant at 24 or 28 in?
Yes. Pick 3mm to 6mm at 24" (60cm), mid-chest, or 28" (70cm), low, so the pendant stays the focus; the 7mm and 9mm are made to be the main piece on their own.
