Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
- Take a string or a shoelace and mark on it the length you are considering, for example 56 cm (22").
- Hold the two marks together at the back of your neck, wearing the kind of top you usually wear.
- Look in a mirror: the lowest point of the string is where the chain will sit.
- Too high or too low? Try 5 cm (2") more or less: that is one size up or down.
Already own a chain you like? Lay it flat, clasp closed, and measure it end to end. A broad neck or chest makes every length sit a little higher.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm (3.4") long: count how many fit along your strip.

Six-sided links that flash as you move, then sit flat and quiet.
Atlas stood at the edge of the world and did not let go. Some things are worth holding on to. This Cuban chain is stainless steel, each link ground on six sides so the surface throws short flashes of light instead of one flat shine. The links interlock and lie flat on the collarbone. Choose 4, 5 or 6mm, silver or gold-tone, in eight lengths from 16 to 30 inches.
- Shower to gym, it stays on
- Faceted links with a bright polish
- Three widths, eight lengths
Details & specs
The chain is stainless steel (titanium steel), a hard metal that does not rust and holds its shape. Each Cuban link is ground on six sides, so the surface breaks the light into short flashes as you move. In photos and in daylight, it never looks flat, and the polish stays bright with a simple wipe.
The silver version is the natural steel. The gold-tone version is an electroplated finish, applied for an even warm color, and we say so. The links interlock and lie flat, which keeps the chain from twisting on the neck. It closes with a lobster clasp and a solid ring.
How to wear it
With a white or black tee, a 20" or 22" length sits near the collarbone and does the work on its own. Under an open collar it shows one or two links at the neckline, good with a shirt and jacket for dinner. Match the gold-tone to a gold watch or ring, or go silver if the rest of his pieces are steel.
Choosing your size
Widths are 4mm, 5mm and 6mm. Lengths: 16" (40cm), 18" (45cm), 20" (50cm), 22" (55cm), 24" (60cm), 26" (65cm), 28" (70cm) and 30" (75cm). For most men, 20" sits at the collarbone and 22" just below it. Choose 24" or longer to hang a pendant or wear it on the chest, and 18" for a close fit. If he has a thick neck, add one length.
Why this piece
Light in short flashes
Six-sided grinding gives each link several small faces, so the chain sparkles in movement instead of looking flat.

Questions
Can the diamond-cut Cuban stay on through the gym and the pool?
Yes. Sweat, the shower and the pool do not make stainless steel rust. A quick wipe brings back the flash on the six-sided links.
Which diamond-cut Cuban width and length carry a pendant?
The 5mm or 6mm, at 24" (60cm) or longer, so the pendant sits on the chest. The 4mm is the quieter everyday width, worn plain.
Will the gold-tone color fade?
It is an electroplated finish made for daily wear. Keep perfume, cologne and cleaning products off it and store it on its own, and the color stays even for longer.
Does diamond-cut mean there are stones in the chain?
No. Diamond-cut describes the grinding: each link is cut on six sides, so the plain steel surface throws short flashes of light. There are no stones.
Is 4mm or 5mm better for a first chain?
Either works. For a man with no chain yet, 4mm or 5mm in 20" or 22" is the safe choice; 6mm is the boldest and most visible of the three.
Will the chain twist or kink?
No. The Cuban links interlock and lie flat, which keeps the chain from twisting on the neck, and the steel holds its shape.
What kind of clasp does it have?
A lobster clasp that hooks onto a solid ring, in the same steel and finish as the chain.
Is there a bracelet to match?
Yes. Pair it with a Cuban bracelet in the same color.
