Atlas took the strain on the outside and kept the rest to himself. This ring works the same way. A brushed black center runs down a tungsten carbide band, framed by two thin rose gold-tone edges, and the same warm tone wraps the interior, so the color flashes each time you turn your hand. The ring is made from tungsten carbide, one of the hardest materials used in men's jewelry, so it holds its surface against the scuffs that come from keys, desks and gym bars. The center is finished in matte black with a fine brushed texture, which keeps fingerprints and gloss to a minimum.

Stepped edges are polished in a rose gold tone, and the interior carries the same warm finish. The black and the rose gold-tone are plated colors on the tungsten carbide, and we say so plainly. There are no stones and no moving parts: two finishes on one solid band, with contrast that does not add bulk.
