Atlas held his ground at the end of the earth. Most of your ground is closer to home, and you hold it all week. This fine rope chain is made for that week. The twisted stainless steel links catch light from every angle, close to the neck, under a tee or in an open collar. Pick 2, 2.5 or 3mm, silver-tone or gold-tone, from 18 to 24 inches.

The chain is stainless steel, a metal that holds a polish and stands up to daily contact with skin, sweat and weather. It does not rust, so water is no reason to take it off. The rope pattern is formed by twisted links, which gives the surface its rolling texture and keeps the chain flexible on the neck.
Both finishes are polished: a bright silver-tone and a warm gold-tone, the gold-tone applied by electroplating. Widths are 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm, all on the fine side, so the chain stays a detail rather than a statement, whichever tone you pick. Each one closes with a lobster clasp and a solid end cap.

Can the fine 2mm to 3mm rope chain handle the pool and the sea?
Yes. Stainless steel does not rust, so water and sweat do it no harm. On the gold-tone, rinse off chlorine or salt and dry it with a soft cloth to keep the color even.
Which width for a pendant?
2.5mm or 3mm. They carry the weight of a pendant better and keep the proportions balanced against it.
How do I keep it from knotting?
Store it flat or hanging so the links do not tangle, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wear. Keep harsh chemicals away.
Is a 2mm chain too thin for a man?
Not if you want a quiet detail. 2mm is the finest of the three widths and reads as a thin line of light under a tee or an open collar. If you want it noticed from across the room, take 3mm.
Should I match the fine rope chain's tone to my watch?

How is a rope chain different from a Cuban chain?

Which lengths work for layering two chains?
Keep at least 5 cm (2 in) between them: 18 in with 22 in, or 20 in with 24 in. Match the tone, and put the wider chain on the longer length.
