The piece

The chain is made from stainless steel, a material that holds a polish and stands up to daily contact with skin, sweat and weather. The rope pattern is formed by twisted links, which gives the surface its rolling texture and keeps the chain flexible on the neck. The gold-tone version is finished by electroplating.
