The piece
The pendant is machined from a solid piece of 316L stainless steel. Its design features raised, directional markers and a recessed, textured face. Color is applied through Physical Vapor Deposition, creating a hard-wearing finish that is part of the steel itself.
The recessed portions of the compass face have a matte texture, absorbing light to create contrast with the polished gold cardinals. The pendant hangs from a simple bail on a complementary box chain, designed for a clean profile against the collarbone.
