Shown in inches and US sizesMeasure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in inches.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in inches: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 3.4" long: count how many fit along your strip.

| 15 | 75 | Z+4 | 0.94" | 2.94" |
| 16 | 77 | Z+6 | 0.97" | 3.04" |
Half sizes sit halfway between two rows (about 0.4 mm of diameter).
Good to know: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger. Wide bands (8 mm and more) feel tighter: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, so it is worth measuring twice.

Warm, textured, and catching light in small broken flashes.
Atlas carried the sky, and the sky kept turning. Days keep turning too, and this ring is made to go through all of them. It is an 8mm tungsten carbide band with a gold-tone finish, an inlay of crushed gold-tone flakes down the center, sandblasted bands on each side and polished beveled edges. On the hand it reads warm and textured. Sizes run from US 6 to 17, mostly in half sizes.
- Wear it through the gym and the shower
- Crushed gold-tone flake inlay
- US 6 to 17, half sizes included
Details & specs
The band is tungsten carbide, one of the hardest materials used in men's rings, which is why it holds its shape and surface through everyday knocks and does not rust. The gold-tone color is an electroplated finish applied over the metal, and we say so plainly. At 8mm wide, the ring feels present every time you close your hand.
Down the center sits an inlay of crushed gold-tone flakes, so no two rings read exactly alike. It is bordered by two sandblasted bands with a fine, sandy sparkle, then finished with bright polished beveled edges. The inside is smooth and polished, so it slides on easily and sits flat against the finger.
How to wear it
Wear it alone on the ring or index finger, where the 8mm width has room to show. It works with a gold-tone watch and a plain white tee, and it holds up just as well under a cuff with a suit. Keep other rings on that hand minimal so the inlay stays the focal point, and lean on warm colors like camel, olive or navy.
Choosing your size
Sizes run from US 6 to 17: 6 and 6.5, then every half size from 7.5 to 17. A wide 8mm band sits tighter than a thin one, so if you are between sizes or usually wear a narrow ring, go a half size up. Buying as a gift? Borrow a ring he wears on the same finger and measure its inside diameter.
Why this piece
Inlay with character
The crushed flake center gives depth and movement that a plain polished band cannot. Each ring's pattern is slightly different.
Hard and rust-free
Tungsten carbide is extremely scratch-resistant and does not rust, so it keeps its shape through regular use.

Questions
Can the sandblasted gold-tone flake band stay on at the beach?
Yes. Tungsten carbide does not rust, so the sea and the gym are fine. Dry it with a soft cloth to keep the electroplated gold-tone and the sandy sparkle of the side bands bright.
Will it scratch if I wear it every day?
Tungsten carbide is one of the most scratch-resistant materials used in rings, so daily wear shows very little. Treat the gold-tone surface as any plated finish: no harsh cleaners or abrasives.
Is 8mm too wide for a slim hand?
8mm is a confident but standard men's width and looks balanced on most hands. On slim or short fingers, expect it to read as a statement ring.
Is the whole ring gold-tone?
Yes. The band carries an electroplated gold-tone finish and the inlay is crushed gold-tone flakes; what changes is the texture, with sandblasted bands beside the inlay and polished beveled edges.
What does sandblasted mean?
A surface textured by blasting it with fine abrasive grit, which leaves a fine, sandy sparkle. Here two sandblasted bands sit on each side of the flake inlay.
Why is there no size 7?
The range goes 6 and 6.5, then every half size from 7.5 to 17. If you wear a 7, take 7.5, since a wide band sits tighter than a thin one.
What is the largest size?
US 17, which is rare for a ring. With half sizes all the way from 7.5, large hands can get a close fit.
Is it too shiny for every day?
Less than a fully polished band. The sandblasted bands and the flake inlay scatter the light into small broken flashes, and only the beveled edges are mirror-bright.
Gold wedding ring for him that won't scratch easily
A tungsten carbide base resists everyday scratches far better than softer metals. The Gold-Tone Tungsten Carbide Ring, Flake Inlay is gold-tone tungsten with a flake inlay, US 6 to 17 with half sizes. The gold-tone color is plated; the textured inlay also hides small marks.
