Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
- Take a string or a shoelace and mark on it the length you are considering, for example 22".
- Hold the two marks together at the back of your neck, wearing the kind of top you usually wear.
- Look in a mirror: the lowest point of the string is where the chain will sit.
- Too high or too low? Try 2" more or less: that is one size up or down.
Already own a chain you like? Lay it flat, clasp closed, and measure it end to end. A broad neck or chest makes every length sit a little higher.
No ruler? A bank card is 3.4" long: count how many fit along your strip.

Chain width
A Figaro in four widths: quiet at 3mm, clearly there at 6mm.
Atlas carried the world. You carry the rest: the meetings, the miles, the calls you never miss. The Figaro is a chain built on rhythm, three short links to one long one, so it catches light in a pattern instead of a flat line. Stainless steel, in polished steel or gold-tone plating, in four widths from 3mm to 6mm and six lengths from 16 to 26 in, with a lobster clasp.

Details & specs
The chain is made from stainless steel, a metal that resists rust and corrosion through daily wear, so the shower and the gym are no reason to take it off. The links are flattened and polished, so the chain lies close to the skin rather than rolling, and the three-short, one-long pattern gives it movement along the whole length.
It comes in polished steel or with a gold-tone plating applied by electroplating for an even color across every link; the plating is a finish, and we say so. It closes with a lobster clasp and a solid round ring, easy to open with one hand and simple to check before you leave the house.
How to wear it
A 3mm or 4mm at 20 in sits just below the collarbone and works under an open shirt collar or with a suit. The 5mm and 6mm look best on a plain crew-neck tee or a hoodie, where the link pattern has room to show. Gold-tone pairs with a gold-tone watch or ring; polished steel stays neutral with anything you own.
Choosing your size
Lengths run 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 26 in (40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65cm). For most men 20 in rests at the collarbone, 22 in sits just below it, and 24 or 26 in falls toward mid-chest for a looser, layered look; 16 and 18 in sit high on the neck. If he has a broader neck or chest, go up one size from 20 in.
Why this piece
A pattern with movement
One long link between three short ones gives a rhythm you notice up close, without looking loud from across the room.
Everyday steel
Stainless steel resists rust and does not turn your skin green, so gym bags, sweat and daily wear are no trouble.

Questions
Can the steel or gold-tone Figaro stay on through a workout and a swim?
Yes. Stainless steel resists rust and corrosion, so sweat and water are no reason to take it off. After the sea, rinse the gold-tone in fresh water so the plated color stays even.
Does the gold-tone need special care?
A little. Put it on after perfume, keep harsh cleaners away from it and wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wear, and the plated color stays even for longer.
Which Figaro width suits a suit, and which a hoodie?
A 3mm or 4mm at 20 in sits just below the collarbone and works under an open collar or with a suit. The 5mm and 6mm are made for a crew-neck tee or a hoodie, where the three-short, one-long pattern has room to show.
Figaro or curb chain: which should I pick?
Pick a curb for a plain, even line and a Figaro for a pattern you notice up close. This Figaro repeats three short links and one long link along the whole length.
Who should choose 16 or 18 in?
A man who likes his chain high on the neck, or a slim build. Both sit above the collarbone; 20 in is where most men start.
Which length and width of the Atlas Figaro suit a pendant?
Choose 22, 24 or 26 in (55 to 65cm) so the pendant falls toward the chest, and 4mm or wider so the Figaro links balance its weight.
Is the steel version plated?
No. The steel version is polished stainless steel with no coating; only the gold-tone version has a plating.
Can I change the length after ordering?
Yes, if you contact us within 2 hours of your order, before it ships. After that, return it unworn in its original packaging within 30 days and order the length you need.
