The twisted stainless steel strands turn as they move, catching light from one angle and then another: texture without a shine that shouts. The chain is stainless steel, with links twisted into a continuous rope pattern along its full length. Stainless steel is a practical choice for something worn every day: it does not rust, and it holds its shape without bending out of line. Water, sweat and salt are no reason to take it off.

The finish is a silver-tone electroplated surface, applied evenly so the twist reads the same from clasp to clasp. It closes with a lobster clasp you can work with one hand and trust to stay shut through a full day. Widths run 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm and 5.0mm, from a fine line to a bold one.

At 4.0mm or 5.0mm it becomes the piece you build the outfit around: white tee, dark jacket, a watch on the wrist. Two lengths in different widths layer well, the shorter near the collarbone and the longer on the chest.

Widths: 2.0 to 2.5mm understated, 3.0mm the middle, 4.0 to 5.0mm seen.
