Its wheat links are tight, round and braided, so it moves like a rope and catches light along its whole length. The chain is made from stainless steel, a metal that holds its shape and resists rust and corrosion through daily wear, including the shower and the gym. The links are woven in the wheat pattern: four strands twisted into a dense, flexible rope that lies flat against the neck instead of twisting. The braid gives depth close to the skin.
The gold-tone color is applied by electroplating for an even finish from clasp to clasp; it is a plating, and we say so. A lobster clasp closes the chain and stays put through the day. Widths run 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm and 8mm, so the same braid can be a slim accent or the boldest thing you wear.
