The band is stainless steel, a metal that resists rust and corrosion and holds up to daily contact with water, soap and sleeves. The width is a steady 6mm all the way around, and the profile is flat with smooth edges, which keeps the ring from catching on cuffs or the inside of a pocket.
The rune text is hollowed out rather than printed, so the pattern runs through the metal and stays visible from inside the band as well. The color is electroplated: silver, black, gold-tone and rose gold-tone are all surface finishes, and like any plated color they wear faster under heavy abrasion than in normal daily use.

Can the cut-out rune band stay on for a swim?
Yes. Stainless steel does not rust. Rinse it afterward so no salt or sand stays in the hollowed-out script.
Will the plated colors hold up?
Silver, black, gold-tone and rose gold-tone are electroplated finishes that handle normal wear well. Heavy abrasion, like gripping bars or rough manual work, wears the color layer faster, so take it off for those.
How do I clean the script?
Use a soft cloth, or mild soap and warm water if needed, then dry it fully. Skip polishing compounds and harsh chemicals on the plated colors.
