From across the table it reads as a clean brushed ring; up close, diagonal cuts catch the light and show the color underneath. The band is stainless steel with a brushed finish across the center face. Angled cuts run diagonally through the brushing, exposing the electroplated color at the edges and inside the band. Stainless steel is hard and resists rust and corrosion, which is why it handles daily contact better than softer jewelry metals.
The outer rails and the inner surface are polished, so the ring feels smooth against the skin and shows a clear line where the brushing stops. Black, blue and gold are plated colors; silver is the plain steel finish. Black is the most understated, blue the coolest, gold the warmest.
