Polished surfaces run down the fingers and over the knuckles, while the lines between them are recessed and stay darker, so the form reads from a distance. Stainless steel does not rust, so the pendant handles sweat, showers and weather as part of an ordinary day.

Ridged sleeves at the wrists give the base texture. Above the hands, a wide, smooth bail carries the 2.5 mm square box chain, 20 in (50 cm) long, in the same tone as the pendant.
