The chain is made from titanium steel, a strong material that resists corrosion and is meant for daily wear. Instead of identical links, it is built from 5mm beads, each one with an asymmetric, organic shape. Strung together they make a continuous line of texture that shifts slightly as the light moves across it, so the chain looks a little different from one angle to the next.
There are two finishes. The natural steel is polished to a clean shine; the black is a plated finish, darker and more understated, and we state that plainly. The beads stay smooth to the touch, so the chain rests comfortably on the neck or the wrist. It closes with a lobster clasp that is simple to work with one hand.
How to wear it
Wear the necklace on its own over a plain tee or a crewneck sweater, where the uneven beads give a simple outfit a point of interest. With a button-down, let it sit under the open collar. The necklace comes in 18 in, which sits just below the collarbone, and 22 in, which rests mid-chest. The bracelet comes in 7 in for a smaller wrist and 8 in for a standard fit. Measure his wrist with a strip of paper and allow a little room so the beads can move; if he falls between the two, take the 8 in. Each length is a base chain plus a 2 in (5 cm) extender: 18 in = 40 + 5 cm, 22 in = 50 + 5 cm, 7 in = 17 + 5 cm, 8 in = 20 + 5 cm.
