You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in millimetres.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in millimetres: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm long: count how many fit along your strip.
| EU | US | UK | Diameter | Circumf. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 49 | 5 | J½ | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 52 | 6 | L½ | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 54 | 7 | O | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 57 | 8 | Q | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 59 | 9 | S | 19.0 mm | 59.5 mm |
| 62 | 10 | U | 19.8 mm | 62.1 mm |

| 75 | 15 | Z+4 | 23.8 mm | 74.8 mm |
| 77 | 16 | Z+6 | 24.6 mm | 77.3 mm |
Half sizes sit halfway between two rows (about 0.4 mm of diameter).
Good to know: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger. Wide bands (8 mm and more) feel tighter: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, so it is worth measuring twice.

Black facets, one line of gold, and a weight you feel in a fist.
Atlas took the weight without a word. This ring has some of that quiet strength: an 8mm band in black tungsten carbide that sits flat and heavy on the hand. The surface is cut into small facets that break the light instead of mirroring it. Down the center runs a channel of gold-tone flakes, set so no two rings read exactly the same. It comes in US sizes 7 to 15.
- Does not rust, does not turn skin green
- Faceted black face, gold flake center
- 8mm wide, 2.3 to 2.5mm thick
Details & specs
The band is tungsten carbide, one of the hardest materials used in men's rings, so it keeps clean edges and resists everyday scratching. The outer surface is cut into a geometric, faceted pattern rather than left smooth, and the profile is flat. It measures 8mm wide and 2.3 to 2.5mm thick, which gives it real weight without feeling bulky.
The black color is an electroplated finish, and we say so plainly. A center channel runs the full circumference, filled with gold-tone flakes set against the dark ground. The flake pattern varies from ring to ring, so the one you receive has its own arrangement. Inside, the band is smooth and polished for comfort against the skin.
How to wear it
Wear it alone on the ring or index finger, where the width has room to read. A black watch and a white tee keep the look sharp; under a shirt cuff with a suit, it works for a wedding or an evening out. Keep the rest of the hand bare so the gold line stays the focal point, or echo it with a thin gold-tone bracelet on the same side.
Choosing your size
Sizes run from US 7 to 12.5 in half sizes, then 13, 14 and 15. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized, so measure carefully before you order. This is a wide 8mm band, and wide bands feel tighter than narrow ones: if you are between sizes or your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, go up a half size.
Why this piece
Made to stay on
Tungsten carbide does not rust and resists scratches, so the facets keep their definition through workouts, showers and daily wear.
A line of gold, each one its own
The gold-tone flakes sit in a channel around the band. Their pattern varies, so no two rings look exactly alike.

Questions
How is the faceted gold-tone flake ring different from the hammered black gold-tone flake ring?
This one has geometric facets on a flat profile and a channel of gold-tone flakes only, in sizes up to 15. The hammered version mixes clear crystalline pieces into the flakes, borders them with two fine gold-tone lines and stops at size 13.
Does the faceted gold-tone flake ring go with a suit?
Yes. Under a shirt cuff with a suit it works for a wedding or an evening out; keep the rest of the hand bare so the gold-tone line stays the focal point.
Which sizes does the faceted gold-tone flake ring come in?
US 7 to 12.5 in half sizes, then 13, 14 and 15. It cannot be resized, so go up a half size if your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger.
Is the band flat or rounded?
Flat. The outer surface is cut into geometric facets on a flat profile, so it sits low and breaks the light rather than mirroring it.
Will it feel heavy on my finger?
You will feel it. Tungsten carbide is dense, and at 8mm wide and 2.3 to 2.5mm thick the band sits flat and solid on the hand without being tall.
Is the flake pattern the same on every ring?
No. The gold-tone flakes settle differently in each channel, so the ring you receive has its own arrangement.
How is a faceted black band different from a smooth one?
A smooth band shows one continuous shine. Here the surface is cut into small geometric facets, so the black catches the light in many small planes and looks more textured.
Can I wear it every day if I work out?
Yes. Tungsten carbide does not rust and resists scratches, so training is fine; take it off for heavy barbell work, since any very hard ring can chip under a hard knock.
