Every bead is round natural stone. Tiger eye brings bands of golden brown that shift as the wrist turns; volcanic lava is matte and textured; the black and white stones give a calmer contrast. The beads are strung on elastic cord, so there is no clasp: roll it over the hand and it sits snug on the wrist. Because it is stone, each bead differs slightly from the next.
The five options are named by their stones: Black & Tiger Eye, Tiger Eye & Black, Lava & White, White & Lava and Black Mix. Black Mix is the most detailed, with a tiger eye, a lava and a glossy black bead framed by metallic spacers. Stone and elastic like to stay dry, so take it off for the shower, the pool and the sea.

It belongs with casual clothes: a tee, a linen shirt, rolled sleeves, a field jacket. Wear it alone on the free wrist, or on the other side from a watch on a leather strap. The tiger eye mixes warm up brown, olive and denim; the lava and white mixes lean cooler and go with grey and navy. Black Mix pairs well with a black steel ring.

Two lengths: about 7 in (18cm) and about 8.3 in (21cm). Wrap a tape measure snugly around the wrist bone and pick the length just above that number, so the elastic holds without pulling tight. A slim wrist usually takes 7 in; an average or broad wrist is more comfortable in 8.3 in. When in doubt between the two, choose the longer one.

Can I wear it in the water?
Best not. Stone beads and elastic cord last longer when they stay dry, so slip it off before the shower, the pool or a swim, and put it back on once you are dry.
What is Black Mix?
Black Mix is the version with metallic spacers: a tiger eye bead, a lava bead and a glossy black bead framed between them. It is the most detailed of the five and sits well next to steel.
How do I put it on without straining the cord?
Roll it over the hand rather than pulling it wide, and take it off the same way. Keeping it away from lotion and perfume also helps the elastic keep its grip.
