The ring is 316L stainless steel, shaped as a classic signet: a flat top with rounded square corners, rising from a solid, wide band. Nothing is engraved or set into the face, so the shape and the finish carry the whole look. Stainless steel does not rust, so the ring stays on through the washing up, the gym and the weekend.
Two finishes: polished to a mirror shine, or brushed for a soft, matte surface. On the hand, the polished version catches the light, while the brushed one stays low-key. Silver is the steel's own color. Gold-tone, black and blue are plated finishes over the steel, and we say so plainly. Every color and finish shares the same shape and band.

The signet traditionally goes on the little finger, but it looks just as right on the ring finger or the index finger of either hand. Brushed silver is the most discreet and works with a suit.
