The piece
The chain is stainless steel in a wheat weave, also called a keel chain. Four strands of links interlock into a dense, rounded rope that stays flexible and drapes evenly instead of twisting flat. Stainless steel resists rust and corrosion, so it handles daily wear and sweat without special treatment.
The surface is polished, so the braid picks up light along its whole length rather than in one bright spot. It closes with a lobster clasp and a solid ring. Choose a silver-tone or gold-tone finish.
How to wear it
Wear it alone over a plain white or black tee for the simplest version. Under an open collar shirt it frames the neckline without competing with it, and it pairs well with a steel watch or a leather band on the wrist. At 3mm it also layers cleanly under or over a longer chain or a pendant.
