The piece
The chain is stainless steel, built in the round snake style: tightly fitted segments that form a smooth, flexible tube. Stainless steel is a hard, low-maintenance metal that resists rust and corrosion, which is what makes it a sensible daily chain. The gold-tone and rose gold-tone versions are electroplated; the silver-tone version is polished stainless steel.
Details are kept minimal on purpose. Polished end caps lead into a matching lobster clasp and ring, so the closure stays in the same tone as the chain. Choose 1.2mm for a barely-there line or 1.5mm for a slightly more present one.
How to wear it
With a white tee it gives a clean line at the neck; under an open collar shirt it shows just at the opening. Pair it with a watch in the same tone, or layer it over a wider chain for a two-level look. Slim enough for the office and for a suit, easy enough for weekends.
Choosing your size
Lengths are 18", 20", 22" and 24" (46, 51, 56 and 61 cm). An 18" sits close to the base of the neck, 20" rests just below the collarbone, 22" lands at the top of the chest, and 24" sits lower and works well with a pendant or over a tee. For width, 1.2mm is the more discreet option and 1.5mm shows a little more on the skin and next to other chains.
